We took a most delightful canoe trip down the St. Croix at the end of June. Perhaps on my birthday? We had to re-enact the glory many times over. We had two canoes, with variations of who-went-with-whom, but Mama was very pleased to be one canoe's official steerer for an entire trip for the first time ever. Of course there aren't any photos of the actual trip. By the time this Mama thought of it, my phone had overheated and refused to serve. But these two photos are probably just as cute.
And right after the trip we came down with (we think our first case of) Covid. We hope we didn't pass it along to any of the kind people we saw along the way. Here are two Covid rest times:
