September

Some nice hot days after a cool August!!

@ HarMar with Grandma!

We were having trouble waiting for our birthdays to come so we made Christmas cookies with sprinkles, hung birthday streamers, wore birthday hats and called it a birthday party!!

We got a very nice book from Daniel's cousin Rebekka: a book of Swedish songs for children with beautiful pictures and a side panel that plays the tunes! Farmor was helping us learn some new ones. Now Lukas sings Swedish songs wherever he goes. I like that.

She started eating solids (well, runny-liquidy-solids)!! She is so happy. Why was Mama starving her all these 5.5 months?!

We walked in the bird sanctuary by Lake Harriet while Daniel and Lukas collected this year's cider press apples from a tree in a generous lady's yard. We saw a great-horned owl! and beautiful fall leaves and a sailing race, which I guess is called a regatta. We wished we were invited to a post regatta Regatta Gala.

Some notable things about September: We started Bible class (BSF) on Tuesdays, Music Class on Thursdays, and we got a real nice extra week of summer after a coolish August!
