June was a rather rough month in our town. These are a few happy things that happened in the midst of it all.
We went camping at Father Hennepin State Park, and got this nice plot right next to the lake. We had fine neighbors who wanted to be friends. Lukas and Theo had a great time playing with Jojo. Frida discovered marshmallows.
We got to go to Trent and Erica's wedding! Planning a wedding during a pandemic in a city that's falling apart was a challenge, but they were champions and got married anyway! I have no pictures of them. Just us in the rare state of fine threads.
And Grandpa's boat was fun. I think this was at Lake Pepin. I remember it as a cold day... I think that's Uncle Walt selflessly riding in the cold water on the tube with Lukas.
We got in the car and drove 10-20 minutes in any direction to a park. Every day this summer. This is our favorite park in Roseville. We swiftly climb to the top of the rocket, count down from five and VROOM!!! we're off to space.
