February

We did it! A 300 piece puzzle.

I think Grandma Eleanor made this for me (Melissa)
It's Lukas' favorite for Frida to wear

"P" is for Penguin!

"K" is for King

Doing his school work

Daniel's snow creation. I tried to get a good photo of him working on it after the kiddos were in bed, but it was too dark. There an igloo, a slide, and some very nice steps

February is for reading in bed

Valentines day. See all the hearts and cards?!

Joining Mom and Dad in Florida was a big highlight! We got to be there for a whole week. Every day we went to the beach and then the pool, the pool and then the beach. And we ate some very nice seafood.

**suckers are good for ears**

At the beach Daniel and the boys made this turtle
and another one, and a very nice lizard.

Can you see the burrowing owl? He was hissing at me.
The next day I saw the Mama too.

Daniel's puzzle. I helped for a bit.
It was maddening enough without the missing key pieces!
But luxurious to be on vacation with time for a puzzle.

Before going back to the airport we stopped at the Everglades and met an alligator named Charlie:

So happy you can't even see his eyes behind that mask!

We also stopped at a state park that had a beautiful boardwalk. Daniel was delighted to feel like he was back home, in the tropics. I liked the trees, and we all liked seeing a real live alligator in the wild!

See him?
